Well after our tough first day, thankfully Hester, the team route planning maestro, only set us 19 miles and 5,500 feet of climb (!!!) for day 2 from Tintagel to Polzeath, via Doc Martin's Port Isaac. The weather was still overcast and windy in the morning but it was increasingly sunny (and windy) in the afternoon.... and proper holiday tanning/wind burning commenced.
Stuffing ourselves a hearty breakfast before setting off from Tintagel |
Plenty of opportunity to fall off the cliff path |
The scenery was a bit of alright |
Harry with stick and Port Isaac beyond |
Both Harry and me showing off our sticky out ears |
The boy! |
Cap'n Stolly with the ship's dog |
Another steep climb almost done |
Quickly followed by another steep descent, goddamit! |
Surf's up |
Polzeath ahoy! |
Setting up camp in Polzeath and the weather's looking good |
