A hot and sweaty whiz round the 3 Peaks

Well sweaty until I ran out of sweat anyway!

A great run with the boy on Saturday and, as usual, brilliant fun reeling in and overtaking all the (millions and millions of) 3 Peak walkers as they trudged their way round. We followed the 3 Peaks fell race route for added cart track practise (with the Lakeland 100 'trail race' coming up) and ran pretty well  considering the heat, although Harry started to become a laggy lag pants after a while, hanging back and playing silly buggers especially at gates and stiles. All the same we got round in 4 hours 30 and it was ecstasy to chuck ourselves in the river come the finish.... as was the pint of Tether Blond in the Crown soon after that. I found out that Harry had grazed one of his paw pads at the finish so we'll have to stick to nice soft grass this week.

Coming off the top of Pen y Ghent

The assault of Whernside soon to commence

One of Harry's many water and boggy pool stops

Always a bit tough - running up the slabs to Ingleborough

Luxury!

Beautiful boy

Just come back from being one of the 'millions and millions' of walkers 'doing' the 3 Peaks - ran some of it, but it did take me 'slightly' longer than it took you! Dearie me, it was hot! - but gorgeous. Actually stayed at the Crown too.
